Lotus Chassis Number

If you are fortunate enough to have the original Lotus Chassis Plate, you have most of the information for your car, Chassis Number, Engine Number (if equipped) and Gear Box Number.  It is located in the cockpit, mounted to the dash-hoop.  Most are mounted as shown in the photo.

Alternately, the Chassis Number can be determined from the Gear Box Number, Frame Number and / or Engine Number.
